About this camera
Introduced in 2013, the Nikon D5300 is an entry-level DSLR built around a DX-format (APS-C) sensor. It has built-in Wi-Fi and GPS, and uses the Nikon F-mount with a 24.2MP sensor. It is aimed at first-time interchangeable-lens users, and as a 2013-era design it is now mostly a used-market option.
