About this camera
Introduced in 2007, the Sony A700 is an enthusiast-oriented DSLR built around an APS-C sensor. Resolution is 12.2MP, lenses attach via the Sony A-mount, and the camera is a mid-range DSLR with in-body stabilization. Within Sony's lineup it targets serious hobbyists, and as a 2007-era design it is now mostly a used-market option.
