About this camera
Introduced in 2005, the Canon EOS 5D is an enthusiast-oriented DSLR built around a full-frame sensor. Lenses fit the Canon EF mount, and the camera was Canon's first compact full-frame DSLR, with a 12.8MP sensor. It is aimed at keen enthusiasts, and as a 2005-era design it is now mostly a used-market option.
