Nikon D3100 is a DX-format (APS-C) DSLR from 2010, positioned as an entry-level model. It added full-HD video to Nikon's entry line, and uses the Nikon F-mount with a 14.2MP sensor. Within Nikon's lineup it targets newcomers, and as a 2010-era design it is now mostly a used-market option.
