24-70mm Lenses

A 24-70mm zoom runs from 24mm, which gives a moderate wide angle, close to how people see a scene. It is popular for street, travel, reportage and landscape photography.

At 70mm it reaches a short telephoto field of view. It flatters faces and separates subjects from backgrounds, making it a classic portrait length. One lens covers several classic prime focal lengths in between. On APS-C a 24mm lens frames like about 36mm (Canon APS-C: 38mm) on full frame; on Micro Four Thirds it frames like 48mm.

We list 47 lenses in this range: 0 primes and 47 zooms across 9 mounts, with a fastest aperture of f/2.8.
