Quick answer
A 2000-era superzoom for EOS film and full-frame bodies. It trades image quality for a very long range in one lens.
Pros
- Wide range from 28mm to 200mm
- Only one lens to carry
- USM focus
Cons
- Soft at the long end
- Slow at 200mm
- Noticeable distortion at 28mm
Verdict
Convenient but optically compromised. A 24-105mm gives better quality with less reach.
